History

The SEC was formerly composed of seven schools throughout Washtenaw, Lenawee and Livingston County. Milan and Pinckney left in 1999; Milan moved to the Huron League (with Grosse Ile, Monroe-SM Catholic Central, Carleton Airport, Monroe Jefferson, New Boston Huron, Flat Rock, and Riverview); Pinckney moved to the Kensington Valley Conference (with Brighton, Highland-Milford, White Lake-Lakeland, Novi, South Lyon, Howell, and Hartland [as well as Howell Parker in 2007 and South Lyon East in 2008]). Ann Arbor Pioneer joined the SEC in 2001. In 2007, Ann Arbor Huron High School joined the SEC in all sports except football, adding football in 2008.

In the 1970's, the SEC consisted of: Saline, Dundee, Dexter, Chelsea, South Lyon, Milan, Novi, Dexter and Lincoln. Brighton joined in the later part of the '70's.
